"Cause when a guy does something stupid once, well that's because he's a guy. But if he does the same stupid thing twice, that's usually to impress some girl." -- the Once-ler from the Lorax
The Lorax is my all-time favorite picture book. I used to borrow it from the library over and over, and comb through the pictures. That book made me care about the environment.
Excellent post - I loved the Lorax, and I went in expecting a disaster (Like Jim Carrey's Grinch). I've heard great things about your book around the blogosphere - new follower!

The Once-ler, eh? I could have sworn he said something more like... "it's a suit, it's a glove, it's a hat, but it has other uses, yes, far beyond that..."
Love makes the world go round.
ReplyDeleteLove JGL.
Love (500) Days of summer.
Bah, love is overrated.
ReplyDeleteI buy that quote.

ReplyDeleteThe Lorax looks like something I wanna see. I wonder if there some romance on your horizon... :)
ReplyDeleteLorax will have to be next in line. I still got to finish The Hunger Games, watch the movie, then check out every thing else.
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I've seen people who do stupid things repeatedly and it isn't love. ;/. You gotta love the Lorax.

This is fabulous! We went and saw the Lorax yesterday in Idaho. Kids loved it. I thought it was fun. That quote rocks though!

ReplyDeleteAww, sweet words.
ReplyDeleteFunny how some of the best lines can come from cartoons and kids' stuff.
ReplyDeleteSo what, exactly, are you trying to say here?
ReplyDeleteI loved last night's episode of Community, about loving yourself. It was pretty sweet. Love is great! The more you give out, the more you have.
