I wish everyone could see the earth from space and recognize how small and vulnerable we are. And that we're all in this together. << hopefully that's not too cheesy. :)
Great little history lesson! I always feel small when I look at the stars. Or from a mountain top. Or at the ocean. I think it's very good for us to feel small.
I'd feel small as well!
ReplyDeleteHe should have had a picture taken where he has his arms up so it'd look like he were holding up the planet like Atlas. That would have been sweet.
ReplyDeletei read an essay about how astronauts have like major epiphanies when they actually see the earth from space.
ReplyDeleteI feel small at every moment, I think. Perspective is altogether the most terrifying and liberating thing a person can have. :-)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend buddy. :-)
Very cool. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteYou, too, Michael.

ReplyDeletePerspective. We should use it more.
ReplyDeleteBack at you with the weekend wishes!
I think I would have felt frightened also at that feeling of smallness. Small and unimportant in the scheme of the universe.
ReplyDeleteLove this. It really makes you think of how small and insignificant in the universe we are.
ReplyDeleteI remember running outside and looking at the moon after they landed. It was an amazing night.
ReplyDeleteWhat a surreal feeling that would be.
ReplyDeleteHow can anyone not want to be an astronaut?
ReplyDeleteYou have a great weekend too Michael.
ReplyDeleteYour pics reminded me of Sesame St.
I feel small next to an SUV - seeing the earth from the surface of the moon would probably also have an effect on my psyche.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend
I figure that would be the feeling
ReplyDeleteThat's an amazing set of images/quotes. Imagine being in space like that . . . wow.
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of humbling, I like it :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great quote from one of our nation's heroes. RIP, Mr. Armstrong.
