The international space station is so cool

I want to share this beautiful video with you that I found on io9 last week. If you haven't seen it, turn your sound up and watch the view from the international space station in a video putting together time-lapse photos of Earth as you are likely to have never seen before.

And a reminder to those of you who like my television updates, the premiere of Alphas season two is on SyFy tonight! I can't wait.

LOVE ALPHAS OMG YES!

Have a great Monday. :)

  1. I will have to share this with my guys...I live in a house of men and this is right up their alley!

  3. I watched Alpha's the first couple seasons, then lost track of what channel it comes on. It was interesting while I watched.

    I was a little worried about all those red firey looking dots on the surface imaging. Is that the lights of cities, or the earth actually burning?

  6. It would be amazing to see, but not something I'll ever get to view in my lifetime.
    Sadly, SyFy decided Eureka was too science fiction for their channel and I won't be watching it tonight.

  8. A better video channel is "The Life and Times of Blue II" which seems to involve a lot of him sleeping. http://www.ustream.tv/channel/the-life-and-times-of-butler-blue-ii#utm_campaign=www.yoono.com&utm_source=122256&utm_medium=social

  11. @Elizabeth: I wouldn't mind living in a house of men.

    @DPK: Alphas is awesome. I hope you watch it so we can compare notes.

    @DHole: This is only the second season. How could you have watched it the first two seasons? I have no idea what the red fiery dots are. I thought they were just lights from cities.

    @Elise: I had no idea you had kids! You are so tiny!

    @Cindy: You're welcome. BTW, did you watch last week's episode of "How the Universe Works". It had an amazing expose on Martian storms.

    @Alex: I don't think that Eureka was canceled because it was too "science fiction". From what I understand, it was all about budget. Eureka was a popular show but got canceled because it was expensive to produce. Kind of similar to the fate that doomed Terra Nova.

    @Brinda: I know, right?

    @T.D.: I agree.

    @P.T.: You know, it's okay NOT to comment. I'm happy for you that you find such pleasure in watching a dog.

    @Dezmond: You should give it a try. It's an excellent show.

    @Laura: You're welcome.

  14. That video is wonderful.

    I'm trying to say "wonderful" a lot because Louis CK says straight guys feel they can't say "wonderful."

    Is Alphas any different than Heroes was?

  20. Awesome video. My son went through a space station phase when he was younger, and we used to track it on the NASA site and then go outside and watch it go by at night. He even wrote to one of the astronauts and got an autographed photo back (before they left, obviously :D). Cool stuff.

  28. That was such a beautiful video, especially with the score behind it, though I was kind of waiting for the singer from Coldplay to break in. Also, thanks so much for your comment from earlier today. :)
