Price Tag and Another Blogger Award :)

This song has a really good message. I hope you listen to it.
Here are the lyrics for Price Tag by Jessie J. featuring B.O.B. (in case you want to sing along)
Seems like everybody's got a price,
I wonder how they sleep at night.
When the sale comes first,
And the truth comes second,
Just stop, for a minute and
Smile

Why is everybody so serious?
Acting so damn mysterious
You got your shades on your eyes
And your heels so high
That you can't even have a good time.

Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (ha)
Can you feel that (yeah)
Well pay them with love tonight...

[Chorus:]
It's not about the money, money, money
We don't need your money, money, money
We just wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag

Ain't about the (ha) Ka-Ching Ka-Ching.
Ain't about the (yeah) Ba-Bling Ba-Bling
Wanna make the world dance,
Forget about the Price Tag.

We need to take it back in time,
When music made us all UNITE!
And it wasn't low blows and video Hoes,
Am I the only one gettin... tired?

Why is everybody so obsessed?
Money can't buy us happiness
Can we all slow down and enjoy right now
Guarantee we'll be feelin
All right.

Everybody look to their left (yeah)
Everybody look to their right (ha)
Can you feel that (yeah)
Well pay them with love tonight...

[Verse 3: B.o.B]
Yeah yeah
Well, keep the price tag
And take the cash back
Just give me six streams and a half stack
And you can keep the cars
Leave me the garage
And all I...
Yes all I need are keys and garage
And guess what, in 30 seconds I'm leaving to Mars
Yes we leaving across these undefeatable odds
It's like this man, you can't put a price on life
We do this for the love so we fight and sacrifice everynight
So we ain't gon stumble and fall never
Waiting to see, a sign of defeat uh uh
So we gon keep everyone moving there feet
So bring back the beat and everybody sing
It's not about...

[Chorus x2]
[Outro: Jessie J]
Yeah yeah
Oo-oooh
Forget about the price tag.

I received the super prestigious One Lovely Blog Award from Deborah Walker’s Bibliography and Pen, Paper, and Lots of Coffee (the awesome blog of Heather Hellman-Heather's was like a day earlier). And if any of you think that this isn’t prestigious…well that’s cause you don’t have one so na na na na na.
Anyway, in the words spoken to Peter Parker by his uncle right after he became Spiderman, “With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility.  So, after I’m done flexing the new super-powers that this award has bequeathed upon me, I’m responsible for passing it on to other unsuspecting victims (err…I mean winners!)
1.) Accept your award and post it on your blog along with a link to the person who has sent it to you.
2.) Pass the award to 10 other blogs that you have newly discovered.
3.) You must contact the person to let them know that you have chosen them to receive the award.
Please check the following blogs if you don’t already do so (all my snarky wit aside, they really are quite good).

Joshua Jackson
2) Fringe look-a-like David Powers King.  Seriously, does he not look like Peter Bishop played by Joshua Jackson.  Take a look at the picture on his blog and compare it to the one that I've linked on the right side here.

4) Writing Unleashed. This is Laura's blog and she could definitely use more followers. I promise, her blog is extremely informative.  I'm not just chain-lettering this thing around but took time to think about who my recipients are.

5) Steph in the City.

7) Confessions of a Watery Tart. She's a former Idaho spud.

8) Alyson and her Paranormal Blog.

9) S.M. Schmidt and her non-sequitur non-sequitorial-ness.

10) Lucinda Bilya and her Missing Link in Writing.  She needs more followers so please, if you go to any of these, consider checking out Lucinda's...she has only three people reading her work :/

  6. Congrats on the award! It's nice to hear a song with a good message. Most of the time I'm horrified when I can actually figure out a song's lyrics.

  10. Congratulations on the award! Hart definitely has one lovely blog and I'll be checking on the others asap.

The lyrics... well money makes the world go round, you know? pretty soon we'll all get dizzy and spin ourselves into... who knows what? There was an interesting article at Truthdig by Chris Hedges called 'This time we're taking the whole planet with us'- I've got a copy of it on my political blog if your interested in reading it. Cheers!

  12. Well, truthfully, I didn't make the David / Josh Jackson connection before. . .but now that you mention it.

Hello fellow crusader. Thanks for finding me, I've been severely lacking on my promise to get around to everyone!

  13. Congrats Michael! Oh my word... there is only one blog that I haven't been to.

Thinking either the world is small, or... I'm spending too much time online.

    ...

    WOW the world is TINY!

  14. Thank you so much for the award! I really need to do an award day soon! And I will have to check out the other blogs... unlike Misha, I am only familiar with a few of them (funny how this networking thing seems to work in concentric circles or something)
