Below is a picture of Horsetail Falls in Yosemite National Park. At a certain time of the year, it catches the sun just right and lights up like it's on fire.
Here's what it looks like to live in Dubai on a foggy morning.
Below is a picture of the Beijing Airport by night. It looks like something out of a sci-fi novel.
Below is a highway in Japan surrounded by 10 meters of snow.
Here is an aerial view of the undersea tunnel linking Sweden with Denmark.
Wonder what a lightning storm must be like over the Grand Canyon?
A table and chairs for a couple of giants. It's easily the coolest shelter
for horses I've ever seen and very artistic.
Below is a picture of a pathway in Ireland that lines up with the stars
once a year. Kind of wonderful.
The Rosa Moss Bridges in Ireland
Belgium's hanging restaurant.
A spiral cloud over the Himalayas.
A view of Infinite Cave in Vietnam.
And last but not least, a fireman giving a very thirsty koala a drink during
the Australian fire season.
Fantastic images, beautiful nature on earth and lightshows in the sky! I'm not a fan of pink, but that Rosa Moss photo is stunning, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for gathering and sharing these photos, Michael.
Thanks for starting my day with incredible pictures of Earth's diversity.
ReplyDeleteThose are truly amazing photos. Really stunning. And a reminder that I need to do more traveling.
ReplyDeleteIt's an amazing world.
ReplyDeleteThe airport looks like a guitar to me. (Futuristic science fiction guitar of course.)
These are quite simply amazing and beautiful pictures. Horseshoe Falls is gorgeous. I wouldn't enjoy driving that highway in Japan, and I'd probably be a little nervous dining at the hanging restaurant. Thanks for sharing such a fun and interesting post!
ReplyDeleteEach one of those was better than the next. Thank you so much for all those gorgeous images!
ReplyDeleteI can't thank you enough for these! You just brought a huge dose of beauty and inspiration to my day. THANK YOU.
ReplyDeleteI can't choose a favorite, but the waterfall took my breath away.
Incredible photos! The Rosa Moss is my fave.
ReplyDeleteBeauty and kindness. The world is a wonderful place indeed.
ReplyDeleteI'll skip the restaurant, but the rest is pretty darn cool.
ReplyDeleteLots of amazing photography there. I would love to see that path in Ireland lined up with the stars.
ReplyDeleteOoh purdy. I don't think I'd trust driving a highway with that much snow on either side. You get one of those big bass stereos going and the whole thing will probably cave in.
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing pictures! I really need to go to Ireland!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteSince I want to visit Sweden and Denmark someday, I'll have to check out that tunnel! :)
ReplyDeleteCool pictures. My favorite new thing on Twitter is following National Geographic. They post the most amazing pictures from around the world. Each one takes my breath away. I could retweet them all day long. :))
ReplyDeleteVery cool collection of pics. Cheers for that.
ReplyDeleteWow, those are some amazingly beautiful pictures and places! That first one is stunning. I am, however, going to pass on that restaurant...
ReplyDeleteSome of the photos really don't seem real, the beauty in them is so astonishing. I really want to go to several of those places.
ReplyDeleteToday was rough for me. These photos reminded me of beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove the pathway in Ireland. I wonder if they planned it that way.
ReplyDeleteAll of the pictures are very nice. I love the Rosa Moss Bridges and the Beijing air post and the horses tail fall the most. The highway surrounded by the snow built up on either side is very scary.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
I enjoyed the pictures, Michael. I saw that one with the horse shelter before and thought it so creative. Love the *fire* falls. I'd LOVE to visit that cave in VN! I loved the pics in National Geographic of some of the phenomenal caves!
ReplyDeleteIreland has quite a few places that line up with the constellations and are something to behold at those times of the year. :-)
Sia McKye Over Coffee
Wow! Such wonderous beauty.
ReplyDeleteAnd I wish I was that fireman.
......dhole
These pictures just made my day! The world we live in blows my mind. Of course it bothers me that the world is being awesome while I'm stuck in school, but hey. There's always time for travel later. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful world.
