I like the versatility of this rationalisation. It could be applied to almost anything!
We are in Summer, which is mango season here in Australia, and I've just discovered how good frozen mango tastes. There's a genuine guilt free snack for you. :-)
LOL. I just got back from the grocery store. I came this close to buying a whole cheesecake. Now I wish I had, after seeing things in this new perspective. :)
Tempting, very tempting, but if keep indulging then I won't look so pretty when I put my shorts on this summer - in fact, I probably won't fit into them at all! So no more cake for me!
Don't get me started! I have a weigh-in tonight. I can't believe I'm about to say this, like I'm suddenly an adult who cares about this kind of thing, but the holiday food really did a number on me this year.
good thing I'm not much of a sweet tooth, I bake cakes for others and usually don't eat them much :) But I do love savoury pastries and such wonders....
I have cake - half a cake to be precise. It was my son's birthday yesterday. Chocolate cake with chocolate icing decorated with chocolate chips, chocolate sprinkles, and marshmallows. I now feel totally justified to cram a huge piece into my mouth. :))

I shall have to remember that. It's really just a tiny thing after all.
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome, and it's the justification I need. I want cake!
ReplyDeleteI like how you think. *walks into kitchen, whips out a whole bag of French madeleines* Besides, we're mostly made up of empty space anyway. (;
ReplyDeleteI like your way of thinking! Now, where can I get a cake this morning?
ReplyDeleteChocolate? I'm in.
ReplyDeleteI'd be so sick...

Oh, what's sad is, I don't even need to think that before eating an entire cake. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteROFLMAO. You have no idea how perfect this is right now. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteSee, I never need to rationalize that...
ReplyDeleteI take Josephine's words to heart
ReplyDelete"Let them eat cake."
Everyday. I so fat. I don't care.
Whole cake, no problem. No justification needed. I just deserve it.

Hahaha! Perfect thinking for the weekend. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat about pie? The problem for me is rationalizing too much. But it is Friday...it's a good day to indulge. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeing a glutton for cake, I sure can relate to that thought.
ReplyDeleteIf only I had the capacity!
ReplyDeleteOne of the reasons I love astronomy - makes all my issues so teeny teeny. Have a great weekend!

ReplyDeleteOr a 64 ounce steak.

ReplyDeleteI've actually done this. Am I bad?? lol
ReplyDeleteThat's the best thing I've read today.
ReplyDeleteOff to eat a tub of ice cream (polished off the cake yesterday, ya see).
We all get those kind of days. Trust me I feel it coming on....
ReplyDeleteI love your reasoning!
ReplyDelete*runs into kitchen to test new theory*
But the cake is not teeny tiny compared to me...
ReplyDeleteYou had me at cake. The rest was unnecessary.
ReplyDeleteMy weakness is cheese and fruity pastry. I could pounds of the stuff.
ReplyDeleteOkay, now I feel tiny but much better about eating the entire bag of cheese pretzels.
ReplyDeleteYou're kidding.... RIght? A WHOLE CAKE?! NEVER! That would be about a thousand hours in the gym... Is a chocolate cake really worth all that?
ReplyDeleteHmmmm.
Let me think on it.... LOL.
I suddenly feel a lot less guilty for what I've eaten today. Nothing like a little perspective! :P
ReplyDeleteHahaha. So true. I like this rationalisation.

ReplyDeleteCover it in coconut and I'm there!
ReplyDeleteCrumbs! You really took the cake with this one. Struggling to type this. I just ate an upside down cake or did I eat a cake, upside down.
ReplyDeleteHave a good remainder of the weekend.
Gary :)
I like the way you think, sir. I'm sure the same logic applies to pie?
ReplyDeleteLOL! Perfect. Just in time for a little person's birthday I know (strangely, we went to a planetarium, too ... odd coincidence, no?) :)

ReplyDeleteI ate a brownie on Friday. I think that counts!
ReplyDeleteI don't let even an inch of cake got to waste. Cake used to be a luxury in India unlike here, where you can buy it cheaper than fruits.
ReplyDeleteHA! I've never eaten an entire cake, but I've been tempted.
ReplyDeleteI like the cut of your jib, sir. Noms! :-)
