  1. Hi Michael. This is awesome prose. Well, Christmas doesn't start with snow in Oz, more like extreme heat, but the sentiments are lovely, ho ho ho...:D

  2. Ho ho ho - now send me some darn snow!
We never get a white Christmas. Or winter for that matter.

  3. Ho, ho, ho! And snow here in the tropics? Now only in my memories.

  5. There's nothing better than seeing the happiness on my kids' faces during or after the first big snow. I would LOVE a 2-hour delay. But it's about 70 degrees this morning. Ho Ho Ho.

  6. A beautiful sentiment but no snow here in Florida. No shoveling either. ;)

  8. Well, Ho Ho Ho to you, too!
The trees near the creek by our house release these white puffs that float through the air, and we call them fairies. They're the closest thing to snow we get.
    Ah, well...
    Merry Christmas, Mike!

  9. We get snow and sometimes lots of it. In fact, today looks like snow - very grey and cold.

  11. It feels cold enough for snow here in Portland but so far just rain. Take care and enjoy the snow.

  12. Thanks everyone who has expressed interest in a free ebook. I hope you don't mind the errors in the piece. I was tired and was in no mood to edit when I created it in photoshop.

  13. Ho ho ho!

And I love the line "Snowflakes are like flitting pixies."

Snow is okay as long as it isn't on the roads when I have to drive. :)

  14. Ho, ho, ho. Love the snowflake fairies. I think it's going to take a magic spell to get some snow around here this year. It's seventy degrees in Colorado!!

  20. What a sweet and lovely prose poem! And yes, when I was little Christmas really did seem magical, and the quietude that snow gives a landscape seems sacred.
