Neil Gaiman at the age of seven talking about Scientology is interesting

I discovered this Easter Egg the other day. It's a recording of Neil Gaiman at the age of seven talking about Scientology, and it's quite "interesting." If you're a fan of Neil and have read Ocean at the End of the Lane, you should listen to it. If anything he speaks with eloquence. I can't say that I'm surprised.

  1. I've got a Mormon family and I'm atheist. It's not a big deal unless my family members try to send missionaries to my door! lol

  2. I knew he was Jewish but didn't realise he'd also been brought up as a Scientologist. Must have been an interesting childhood.

  5. I love the part where he realizes he used to have a Sussex accent. I guess he grew out of it. :)

  7. @Andrew: That Neil could speak so eloquently at the age of 7.

  8. awww crap, i can't watch the video. I wish i could. I know Neil doesn't like to talk anymore about his youth in scientology and his father's connection to it still.

  9. Very interesting. When I was his age my head was full of much more trivial things.

  12. That was an amazing interview. So sad he got kicked out of school as a child.

  14. It's sad that he was more articulate at age 7 than I am now.
