A synopsis of the film's plot from the press release says it "chronicles the adventures of a group of explorers who make use of a newly discovered wormhole to surpass the limitations on human space travel and conquer the vast distances involved in an interstellar voyage."

So yeah, I want to know if you guys think Interstellar has the makings of the best sci-fi movie of 2014 cause I sure do. Oh and Patrick, I'll probably be talking about Interstellar for a year now that I know about this (the same as I did with Prometheus and Pacific Rim). So get used to it. Have an awesome Thursday.

ReplyDeleteIt's too soon for me. Part of the problem is one, I've never been a big McConaughey fan and two, with the exception of David Oyelowo, the cast is pretty vanilla...would like to see more diversity, especially in sic-fi flicks.

ReplyDeleteSo we should just pencil this in for having a disappointing domestic box office? It seems like your endorsement is the kiss of death for these movies.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it might be the biggest movie of 2014 since it seems like 2015 is when everything comes out. But if it's released in November it'll be going up against the first part of the last Hunger Games movie, which will be sure to kick its ass.
I love stories that involve time travel so I'll be keeping a lookout for this one.

I think it's too soon. I remember how people where proclaiming that Pacific Rimm would make a billion dollars and it didn't make half a billion. Still did really well but you can't rush these things.
