It's time for day one of the I'm Hearing Voices blogfest.
Go here for details. I will be interviewing my main character from my upcoming book
.
SLIPSTREAM is on Goodreads and shall be published in May.
Please go
HERE and mark the book "to read".
Have a great Monday.
He sounds like an interesting character, and I'd love to know the details of him not being human.
ReplyDeleteoh man, i already love him! Also, daym, he's hot. I enoy me the blondes.
ReplyDeleteI really can't wait to read your book!
Honestly from that picture I thought you were talking to Ellen Degeneres.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting character . . .
ReplyDeleteso interesting. He's not human? what is he???
ReplyDelete@Grumpy: LOLOLOLOL
ReplyDeleteDespite the fact he murders people - that's devotion!
ReplyDeleteAn alien hockey player who is best friends with an assassin...what's not to love! Great character. Truly.
ReplyDeleteSounds interesting. I wonder if all hockey players are aliens? Sometimes I think so :)
ReplyDeleteFun interview Michael. I think you have a creative MC--makes me want to go watch some puck.
ReplyDeleteHey, that is one cool interview.
ReplyDeleteSounds like an interesting character!
ReplyDeleteSo cool Michael. "That I'm human." Uh-yeah! That caught my attention!
ReplyDeleteJordan's the man. I didn't know he was such a stance on who he was though. Figured he was more of a go-for-it-and-ask-questions-later type of guy. Good to know him a little better, though.
ReplyDeleteUm, he sounds awesome! Marking TBR right now! Dude. :)
ReplyDeleteA non-human who wants to play hockey? You totally played to my Canadian side. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThat guy does look a bit like Ellen.
ReplyDeleteYour ability to convey lots of information in very few words has me in awe. I think I used my 250 words up talking about how unfair it was to limit me to 250 words.
As usual, "Slipstream" continues to amaze me and make me anxious to read it. It's truly the Prometheus of sci-fi books, or the "Next Album from Slow Club" of sci-fi books, if you were more an audiophile. Or "the McRib of sci-fi books," for those of you (like me) who like rib-shaped "meat." Or the "Slipstream of sci-fi books," if you want be meta.
And who doesn't want to be meta?
What position does he play?
ReplyDeleteMichael, Jordan sounds amazing! A non-human trying to get back to earth to play hockey. And a best friend who is a hit man!? How cool is that! Thanks for entering :)
ReplyDeleteHe is a man of few words, but the words he says are very interesting. I am intrigued by the fact that he seems to have human emotions, and yet he isn't human. Excellent stuff!
ReplyDeleteSounds so good. Love that his best friend murders people for money and that the mc acknowledges the character flaw and loves him anyway.
ReplyDeleteHe sounds like a devoted friend. I like the voice in this interview.
ReplyDeleteHe sounds intriguing. Make it back to earth? Adding to read :)
ReplyDeleteThat is not a normal kid. Maybe he should sit on a couch more ;)
ReplyDeleteNice! Great pic, too!
ReplyDelete@Pagel: Ellen is so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOf all things why hockey? LOL
ReplyDeleteHe sounds very intriguing, I want to learn more about this "dangerous" inhuman boy.
How dare you call Canadians non-human!
ReplyDeleteSounds like an intriguing storyline - killing for money and a non-human hockey player afraid of the dark...
Much food for thought here.
ReplyDeleteThe hockey answer threw me at the end. Didn't see that coming at all. Now I need to know why he wants that more than anything else.
ReplyDeleteThe interview format for your character is a brilliant idea... I should have been more aware.
ReplyDeleteso he's the opposite of a vampire.
ReplyDeletelove the pic, i need one. visual is more real.
good luck w/his dream, but i bet he doesnt need luck!
great interview!
Love the "when I make it back to Earth."! He's been going on talking about average things like trying out for hockey and he's not even on the planet, awesome!
ReplyDeleteA lot of writers are writing characters that are not human with the same personality and I thought this would be another one of the same, but he likes hockey! That totally threw me and I liked it.
ReplyDeleteI love the "human" answer. Intriguing! I've added your book to Goodreads and to my recent YA SF survey of books! (up to 175 books now.) Sounds like a great concept - I haven't found any other YA books that deal with a parallel world yet.
ReplyDeleteGreat character interview. Short and to the point, just like Jordan's character in the book.
ReplyDeleteLoved the picture too :)
.........dhole
I have loved people who have done heinous things. I get that. He sounds like an interesting character.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview... just received your book...woohoo... can't wait to find out more about Jordan now:)
ReplyDeleteLove how you bordered your interview. Your character sounds fascinating.
ReplyDeleteYour character did a great interview! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I was bummed that the Pats didn't win yesterday but it was a valiant effort.
Any character who likes to live dangerously has got my attention.
ReplyDeleteFun character interview. "That I'm human." Definitely piques my interest! Can't wait to read the book. :D
ReplyDeleteHe looks human enough--which makes it very intriguing that he isn't. And the answer to the redeeming quality question was striking.
ReplyDeleteLove the sound of this guy and his story! The answer to the last question amused me for some reason :D
ReplyDeleteMan...not human and wants to play hockey...really interesting combination.
ReplyDeleteDid not see that last answer coming! Such a twist! He's very interesting, I really like the tone I was getting.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting this book for my birthday :-)
ReplyDeleteJordan is YUMMY!
ReplyDeleteOooh intriguing. Not human, huh? I'd love to know what he really is.
ReplyDeleteOK ya got me. TBR now.
ReplyDeleteInteresting interview, nice to meet you!
ReplyDeleteJordan sounds like someone that would be fun to hang out with. Even if he;s not human. Thanks for sharing him with us!
ReplyDeleteWow not human huh? and he skates? I'd love to try skating on his home planet!
ReplyDeleteThis characetr sounds very real. Great answers.
