After all, the Times was not a member of the Consortium of journalists that investigated the Papers. Instead, the Times' role now is to cover the consequences of the release of these Papers and then to launch their own related investigation (at least I hope they will). Ideally, all information should be shared there. And that's what scientists say they do. It's only when we start putting monetary value on the learning that things get compartmentalized and not shared.<br /><br />Not really pertinent to your point, but it's what popped into my head when I read that.Liz A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16531953467834426316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2495499100279472520.post-28984495741430571572016-04-11T14:34:58.496-06:002016-04-11T14:34:58.496-06:00Or it's just another story like Occupy Wall St...Or it's just another story like Occupy Wall Street or Bernie Sanders' candidacy that the major news outlets (all owned by huge corporations now) don't want to shine a light on because it makes our corporate masters look bad.PT Dillowayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09394481476862013009noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2495499100279472520.post-36450705742641980212016-04-11T12:38:14.915-06:002016-04-11T12:38:14.915-06:00I agree that it's important to consider the so...I agree that it's important to consider the source of the news you ingest. I thin...Do you get the print or electronic edition?<br />I think it is leaning toward shared knowledge. (Crap, it's the hive mind mentality!) Of course, with print papers dead and news appearing online at other outlets faster than with a newspaper (even online), they have to do something unique to survive.Alex J.
