The new Star Wars Force Awakens trailer airs on ESPN tonight during Monday Night Football.

The new Star Wars: Force Awakens trailer is going to air tonight during Monday Night Football on ESPN (if you didn't know, ESPN is owned by Disney). I guess I'll be enthusiastically watching :)
Thoughts on the poster? Is that a new kind of Death Star in the background? Where is Luke? This movie is gonna be the biggest movie ever.

  1. Busy but cool.
Monday Night Football will be on in our house regardless.

  2. I must admit I don't get the hype around it. I mean the originals were cheesy, the other three were horrid, so why expecting this one so much? Especially with this super-bleh cast?

  3. I think the poster works for Star Wars fans who are into all the detail. Maybe look is the one in orange with the helmet just left of Han Solo. Or...perhaps that's what they want to us to wonder.

  4. I watch MNF anyway, so I'll be watching in anticipation. The pilot next to Han Solo is Poe, so Luke is definitely missing. That giant "Death Star-ish" thing in back is the rumored Starkiller base. It's supposed to be an ice planet converted into a weapon that destroys suns, thus destroying an entire star system.

  5. There's entirely too much going on in this poster for me, but I've also never been a Star Wars fan. My significant other will be dragging me to go see this in December, but I am a JJ Abrams fan, so perhaps it will be all right.

  6. I'm sure it'll be on YouTube later.

  7. You asked the question I want answered: Where's Luke?

  8. Am I the only one not obsessing about this? I plan to see it, but I'm kind of ignoring all the hoopla so I won't be disappointed when I finally see the film. It'll all be new to me.

  9. It seems that in the UK movie websites crashed under the demand for ticket sales -- so yes, this movie is gonna be huge. I'm not an obsessive Star Wars fan (more of a Trekkie) but it'll be fun to see.

  10. I guess I've been living under a rock because I had no idea this movie was even in the works.

  11. This is a topic I have wanted to discus with you for some time. I'm a long time reader first time poster. After the horrid debacle of "Revenge of the Sith" My level of interest turned to other frontiers. When I heard that they were making another film about a year ago I paid no attention to any of the hype. I know Mark Hamill is in the movie to what extent I don't know.

    1. Hi Lee! That's a good picture. As you know, I love RPG's. West End Games came had a really good Star Wars one that I played for years and years in the early nineties. As a result, Star Wars really can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned. I know people (like yourself) hated the Revenge of the Sith" trilogy, but I actually kinda liked it. Anyway, I think this new movie is going to be great. I already got my tickets for opening night lulz.
