I wish people in the United States supported art more so that artists didn't have to go to companies like Wizards of the Coast to survive

The latest Magic: the Gathering expansion called "Born of the Gods" is set to be released soon, and as usual I'm seeing art that really doesn't belong on cards. These panels that I've picked out deserve better treatment. But people in the United States don't support art very well, and people with non-science degrees and majors are often treated like their discipline is a penny stock. Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments below.

As usual, click to EMBIGGEN :)

The first one is a little odd to me, but I really love the third one. The second and fourth are really good too.

Unless you run a comic book store or just smoke a lot of pot, I can't imagine any adult hanging these on their wall.

Patrons for artists are hard to find in the modern world. I don't think Canada is any better in supporting its own artists.

I like #3. #1 is definitely interesting.

At least there's a place like WoC around to provide support.
Born of the Gods is out today, btw.

I think artists have always had a difficult time making a living with their talents even more than writers.

Beautiful work. It is sad when talent is unsupported.

Those are beautiful. I imagine when the cards are printed they'll be full of text too.

Agree it's beautiful work. They look like part of an animated movie and it makes me wonder what is going on.

I guess the internet will be where we see art from now on.

Good enough to be on the cover of a book, I'd say - but as I recall, even my old magic cards had some pretty cool pics on them.

I've always been in awe of people who can paint and draw. Whenever I try, it's like my brain and hands just aren't connected.

Stunning artwork. These are all amazing and should also exist as life size paintings.
