A Home For A Hobbit

Check out this home. It has a beautiful interior and could probably work for one person. Honestly though, I'm thinking that Bilbo Baggins lives here. My apartment has 600 square feet...this house is 300. I feel like I have so much space now.  It's being sold for $179,000 in Toronto.

  1. That is too cute! I'm not sure I'd want to live there though! I'm way too messy to be confined to a narrow space.

  2. It is cute and creepy, I would feel so claustrophobic. It's nice inside though and would be perfect for one person.

  3. An apartment that size in New York wouldn't even sell for that much. I'm shocked the owner is asking for that price in Toronto.

  4. That house is pretty cute! It looks like a doll house. I didn't see a bathroom though...

  5. That's where Barbie and Ken live! :o)

  6. I'd rather live there than in some nasty apartment that might be a little bigger. It looks like a nice place inside.
    It Just Got Interesting

  7. Jen: Yeah it's super small and I too would feel way too confined. It's definitely for a single person in my opinion and I would hope there's an IKEA nearby as their storage ideas are really innovative.

Diana: The cuteness of it is what attracted me too. I can't believe how the neighboring homes dwarf it in size though.

Marjorie: Nice to know. I have no idea what real estate goes for and if it's unreasonable or not.

Alyson: The description that I found said there was a full-size bathtub and toilet in there somewhere.

D.U.: LULZ @ Ken & Barbie. Totally Toy Story 3.

Brent: Yeah at least it isn't nasty. Nasty apartments give you cooties.

  8. Oh my gosh that is awesome! Wow!

It does look cute though. But I think I have a backyard shed bigger than that :)

Fun pictures. Thanks for sharing. Made my day.

  9. I love it. $179,000? Is that in Canadian money? What are homes worth in Canada, that this goes for that much?

  10. I commented before but the thing refused to post.

    Let's try that again...

It's a very quaint matchbox that will make a mouse quite happy.

On the brightside, at least there are no crumbs on that shiny hardwood floor. :D

  11. I can't believe it's selling for so much! I'm glad I don't have to buy property in Toronto! :-)

  12. That's awesome. The backyard totally sold me.

  13. It is too pricy for the square footage. The space has been used very smartly. Why so much fencing?
Don't they like open spaces there?

  14. You couldn't pay be 170k to live in Toronto. But if you could that house is fine, except if I'm seeing right there is no bedroom, it is just a pullout, which would kill me.

  15. I've seen this house before. I think it was on the market a couple of years ago. It seems a little airy for a hobbit. I think a hobbit would prefer a cosy thatch hut with a fireplace and lots of clutter.

  16. Dream house right there. All the room in the world for books, ideas and a computer. Pssh needing room for anything else.

  17. Toronto? I call dibs, I've always wanted to live in Canada. But seriously, that house is so cute!

  18. I wouldn't pay anywhere near $179,000 American or Canadian for that. It might make a nice little writing office, except just like an apartment you're literally right next to your neighbors from the look of it.

  19. How quaint! I love how the bed folds out because there's no room for it otherwise. Definitely a room for one person.

  20. Now I know what I truly want in a house. XD It's like the perfect size for me. Especially if I don't grow anymore. And seeing as I haven't even grown half an inch in like a year, I think I'm good.

  23. Boy it's so tiny. I couldn't cope. Anyway, Thank you for the blog award way back in the beginning of March. Sorry it's taken me so long to show my appreciation. Thank you.

  25. Oh, it's too cute! There is a little house like that in Ann Arbor, but it is somebody's adorable OFFICE next to their house--they've just set it up to look like a house. As much as I love there, I could never live in so little space.

  26. I want to live here so badly! The only thing that could make this better was if it actually was set in a hillside. :)
